Meet Rhonda
Rhonda Powell is a Fourth-Generation Native of Mount Clemens, Government and Nonprofit Leader

With 20 years of leadership experience, Rhonda has served some of Macomb County's most vulnerable populations through programs like Head Start and Meals on Wheels while serving as director of Macomb Community Action, Senior Services, and other organizations.
Her story is rooted in Mount Clemens. A Battling Bather and mother of four, Rhonda and her siblings were raised by their hard working mom in public housing.

She was fortunate to have support from their grandfather, who was retired and pastored a church, and grandmother, who was housekeeping supervisor at a local hospital.
Throughout her childhood, Rhonda spent countless hours with her grandfather as he visited the sick, supported families during layoffs, and provided a haven for neighborhood youth.
She learned from him that all people should be valued and to “leave people better off than you found them—or leave them alone.”
Now, Rhonda is ready to carry those values into City Hall.
